Mounting recommendations for gas unit heater

The last few winters I haven't spent too much time in the garage and when I did I had a 10kW electric heater that did a pretty good job. My garage is 32x34 and the ceiling height is 12'.

Now that I bought a lift and have spent tons of money this year on equipment, etc I thought I should get more use out of it so I bought a Reznor 75k BTU heater (UDAP 75) and had the local gas company run a new service to the garage.

I am going to be mounting the heater in a couple of weeks (I leave tomorrow for Florida and the Caribbean) and I was wondering if I should use the direct ceiling mount kit or if I should drop it a couple of feet and use the 3/8" threaded rod.

I know dropping it will pull the heat down closer to the floor, though I have a 30" fan running most the time which moves up to 7,400 CFM

This is what the garage looks like for reference, I will be mounting it in the left rear corner.

Afoot of difference in mounting height won't make any noticeable difference in the heat output or flow, and 75k is plenty for that cubic footage.
That said, I dropped mine about 10" of my 12' ceiling:

That looks good. I didn't think it would make any difference. I know the 75k BTU was on the big size but I got it dirt cheap inspected and refurbished at a small hvac shop I go to locally.

Damn I saw this too late. I was going to recommend mounting the unitstrut on top of the framing members if there's an attic above and running the allthread through small holes in the drywall.

This is what I originally wanted to do. Although my garage has a 4/12 pitch so the height for me to get in and work is < my bodies width. The only way I could have done this was to remove a piece of sheet rock to gain the access and patch it when I finished.
