The last few winters I haven't spent too much time in the garage and when I did I had a 10kW electric heater that did a pretty good job. My garage is 32x34 and the ceiling height is 12'.
Now that I bought a lift and have spent tons of money this year on equipment, etc I thought I should get more use out of it so I bought a Reznor 75k BTU heater (UDAP 75) and had the local gas company run a new service to the garage.
I am going to be mounting the heater in a couple of weeks (I leave tomorrow for Florida and the Caribbean) and I was wondering if I should use the direct ceiling mount kit or if I should drop it a couple of feet and use the 3/8" threaded rod.
I know dropping it will pull the heat down closer to the floor, though I have a 30" fan running most the time which moves up to 7,400 CFM
This is what the garage looks like for reference, I will be mounting it in the left rear corner.
