Doing the planning/engineering for a 36x47 attached garage "addition".
What I will wind up with is a 18'x24' area that I am planning on using as a dirty work area. It will be enclosed on 3 sides but open to the rest of the garage on one wall (18')
I would love to have some kind of movable barrier to segregate this from the rest of the shop while grinding, sanding and other dirty jobs are being done.
Thoughts I have had.
1. Garage door. tracks would get in the way of the lift too Ceilings are 10' in the main garage and vaulted (~16' at the peak) in the work area.
2. Curtains. Downsides to this are flammability, it becoming filthy and dealing with tracks.
3. Folding doors of some sort. Downsides are complexity and taking up wall space when open
4. Just hang cheap disposable plastic while I am doing work of this nature
Surely somebody has dealt with this before. I am open to suggestions.
