My building before concrete with options listed previously was 16k. Lumber has been skyrocketing this past month so it may vary.

Very nice. I'm sorry for making you repeat yourself, I missed the post earlier about pricing.
I'm looking to use Morton for my near-future build.

No worries! It's hard to dig through an entire thread sometimes. I don't mind helping.

Best of luck and I look forward to your build.

Lines are struck and I'm ready to cut. I'm loving this brown color brought out by the machine finish. ea248acd5b10c0d224b68c1cbd13aef1.jpg

I'm probably a little more excited than I should be over this thing. It should fit nicely under my bench. 🤣6599da35a75e2550c5ef3cd06408c72f.jpg

First unexpected project in the new barn. I managed to mangle up the front corner of the jeep this weekend. 765cc4cefb398a2e68fafe0e671892a2.jpg1f0e53c752dfa67bf0e618861a86698a.jpg1ba1a7c807b07345c3dfeefe3a269807.jpg

I've been slacking on the updates. With a help of a few friends we installed an Atlas OH10x two post lift.

Looks great. How do you like that lift?
I like it. I have no issues lifting my beater car. The Cummins is a little sketchy due to the weight bias. 07637ba73cd4bdc6490316faee2b8cd8.jpg

I put the Cummins in the air. I can honestly say I don't feel comfortable. The truck is entirely too front heavy. [emoji58]d84a78ce41b5861227e9579805c29599.jpg

I don't know much about lifts but I am searching for one to buy. why is it that you don't feel comfortable is it the arm quality on the lift? Is the truck bouncy on the lift would a jack stand help. I am looking at putting in a rotary asymmetric spoa10 and plan to lift a truck just like the dodge. Rotary says it can be done but thats why I keep thinking I should just get a symmetric lift but I notice yours is symmetric and doesn't seam to help. Theres so many lift choices out there its frustrating.

Looks good. I feel the same way when lifting big trucks. Those tall jack stands help stabilize it pretty well though. I usually put one under the front cross member and one under the hitch. Makes it a lot more stable. Especially if you are really wrenching on something.

If it makes you feel any better Jersey..... We put in a 17K Rotary (not sure if it's symmetrical or not). We've got 2 F 550 diesels one is a flatbed that it lifts no problem and balances fairly well. The other is a service truck with a 8,000 lb rated crane on one side. Now that truck is super sketchy, from lining up the legs right to actually getting it up in the air. We got 4 extendable posts that we put up tight at 4 corners to help ease the mind!

How was your experience with Shirk? Considering them for a pole barn here in NJ
100%

They set the date 4 weeks after my initial deposit and stuck to it.

The crew arrived on time, they worked efficiently, were polite, cleaned up after themselves and had the structure erected in 2 days.

I failed final inspection because the township wanted a hurricane clip attached to the trusses even though they themselves approved the original drawing without it. Shirk was out the next day to rectify the issue at no charge to me.

I would absolutely use them again, no questions asked.

Hey Jersey, I'm having a 30'x44'x12' being built now and have been looking into options for insulation and perhaps a ceiling in the building. I saw your photo of the foil between the rafters, can you tell me what that is? Are you planning on putting a ceiling in or just leaving the ceiling exposed? What about your walls? I was thinking about plywood and foam board insulation on the walls, 8' up on the plywood, and foam board from the plywood up but I know that's not going to be cheap.
