I have finally taken time to share some pictures of my 40x60 build, This is kinda my dream shop or will be. I worked for years out of a 80 year old 18 x 24 Garage that I had re-built by jacking it up to replace the sill plates and re-studding the walls so it would be 8 ft high.
My new shop is 40 x 60 with 12 ft. side walls. It has a 10 x 20 room split into 2 10 x 10 rooms - 1 room is the bathroom with shower, stool and utility sink.
The other room will be for fridge it will get a set of french doors so I can roll engines in for re-building.
One end now has a 10 x 40 loft and have started the compressor closet, with sound proofing. I did the spray foam insulation myself. OSB walls, have to thank my wife for doing the 2 coats of kilzs primer and white paint. Actually all the painting so far.
Some of the details- 6 inch concrete floors, one bay has buried tie downs (3 on each side) in the concrete. I opted for 85w CFL's you can see them in the pictures, there are 22 of them on 4 switches. It is like daylight with all of them on. Air lines on all 4 walls, plenty of plugins. Still trying to decide on what to use for heat.
I would like to thank everyone who shares the knowledge on this forum, I have used the wealth of information here in my own build. I will add more pictures as I can.
