My attempt to make a better hose coupler

Yesterday morning I visited the auto transmission shop that is testing our products. I hadn't been there myself previously. One of the first things I asked the owner was what the shop air pressure was. His response was "200 to 250 PSI".[emoji38]_hitti
I assumed he was mistaken so I didn't pursue the matter.
Today I am going to send someone over there with a pressure gauge and have him monitor it.
That or you've just been accidentally testing your products at 200psi lol.

One of my guys just went over there and checked the pressure at 140 PSI.
They have our Orbitals connected between the air hoses and the couplers (various types).
They have some impacts with our Orbital QuietPlugs attached.
I have been very interested in how they hold up in this environment.

pressure measured at the tank or at the end of the line?

At the end of one of the hoses next to one of the lifts.
I will be over there soon to check out their compressed air system. It will have to be after hours during the time the owner is working on his race cars. They are too busy during normal working hours.

Well at 50% off I have to try them. Just ordered 2 orbitals and 4 quiet plugs. This is my test run before I use these for stocking stuffers for my dad this Christmas.

I've been eyeing these for a while, hope I love em!

Looks like you connected a soft aluminum Milton high flow colorfit plug into a Milton V.

a. throw one in the box, always willing to test something for ya'.

b. yeah, those colorfits are kinda soft. hasn't been a problem with the nail and impact guns. the hammer was just too much. literally 30 seconds.

Was it in a Milton V brass coupler or a colorfit coupler?

the coupler was either a prevost button on the side soft-release one or a colorfit coupler, probably the later because I swapped out all the prevosts because they just weren't working for me. i'm guessing the retention balls are about the same hardness in either coupler?

I would expect a latch coupler such as a Prevost to do a lot less damage to an aluminum plug then a ball coupler.

Can we get some answers on the availability of fittings larger than 1/4?

Is the "High flow" 3/8?

All of our fittings are 1/4 NPT.

We will be offering 3/8 in the future as we have had numerous inquiries.

FYI
50 percent discount ends today at midnight.

Tomorrow and Saturday we will be demonstrating our products and revealing our yet to be released male QuietPlugs along with our new couplings.
This will be at Acme Tools in Duluth Minnesota.

The insertion force of our soon to be released couplers is quite low.
These are compatible with the industrial (M style and V style plugs)
There are new versions with a proprietary plug design we will be coming out with later.

Thanks. Always nice to have a repeat customer.

Installed my Quiethose plugs today on the air lines I regularly disconnect. Exactly what I needed. Turned the 100' 3/8" hose from a painfully loud flailing snake into a calm, quiet hiss. Very nice. Looking forward to whats next!
