This is going to be our basin for the restroom. We are going to have it sitting in a 44 gallon drum which will be wrapped with our logos on it. what do you think?

Progress is looking great

in the Corner of the bathroom there is an un tiled part on the wall that is the access panel for the urinal flush valve. We are going to be hanging a 1950's framed advertisement there, any ideas?

This is the work of Sydney based signpainter Will Lynes, a piece like this would look great in the bathroom. http://lynesandco.com/55-Riley-St

Looks like a Fujiclean to me, with the new risers. Good unit but i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a surge protector be fitted to make sure the blower and pump are safe. If you need any info just pm me, it’s what I do.

Over the last few weeks we have been getting the outside of the garage sorted.

we laid just over 4300 sqf of turf and also added to the boys playground. We added a helicopter and a boat. the boat will be going into the sandpit, i have attached a picture of what it will look like i will be using pine logs for the shade sail posts which will be carved to resemble colour pencils and painted as shown.

This weekend we are going to be doing a small amount of retaining wall and cleaning up the playground a bit more, We are going to be adding the concrete driveway to the diner and also a concrete pad to the playground for a small patio area for a water cooler and table and chairs.

the close up of the lawn is 3 weeks after laying.

until next time...

Well not a lot has happened lately at the garage. I have been doing alot of plumbing and cleaning up. I recently had my lift installed in the garage so that's a good start!

I have recently finished one of the boys playgrounds. I bought this privately for $500. it was located 2 hours away, we went and pulled it down about 6 months ago, and finally put it up. I had to rebuild the wooden bridge as it had rotten timber, and with new hardware and the concrete for all of the posts the project has probably only cost me $1000.

Here is the new timber bridge.

One day after finishing late I went around and picked up all of the boys gardening tools and put them in one of their wheelbarrows, I then heard a crash noise behind me and see my 2yr Old tipping out all of the tools, I said mate what are you doing? 5 mins later I turn to see this, just wanted his barrow the same as dads, I had just washed the concrete out of mine. These boys just melt my heart some times! sorry about the terrible image.

It was a bit of a challenge to know how to assemble this playground and what order, the loader helped.

And he loves his grass!

For months I have been looking for an economical solution to keep my front end loader out of the rain, this week I found two carport structures for just $600 for the pair, these are more than $2500 each new and are not normally fully enclosed on the sides, tomorrow the FIL and I are going to pull them down, he will have one and i'll keep the other.

We also recently built a small retaining wall around the grass area, ready to get the concrete done in front of the diner. Excuse the mess under the cover, we don't have a lot of undercover area at the moment for storage away from the rain!

The wife and boys wanted a veggie garden, after seeing the premade ones at the local hardware store and their cost I decided to buy the timber and make my own. Turned out good and also acts as a border for the grass, I will add a couple of more down the track the next ones will be taller to keep the green stuff away from the kangaroos and rabbits!

These two make all of the hard work worth it!

Hey 1/2 Cup,

Not a lot has happened unfortunately we recently started a process to buy my father's business partner out (After almost 20 years) and during the process we uncovered that the partner and his accountant who was dad's accountant had in fact not looking after his interests as he expected and being a very trusting person he did not ask many questions over the years our business is quiet large and it was remiss of him to trust them as he did but it has now lead to 7 months of hell!

Lucky my wife is a very talented accountant and she has come into the business to identify all of the wrong doings and whilst we have already had a couple of trips to the Supreme Court to sort out some pressing matters we have been told to prepare for a 2 year wait for the case to be heard and spend 1 million dollars +.

We decided we didn't want to impose that horrible situation on dad our ourselves so we headed to mediation and got a result that whilst isn't going to make up for the loses it will see dad looked after and be able to retire.

What we didn't want is to spend money to just recover that and 2 years of pain so we shortly will take over the business 100% and it will be onwards and upwards in a new era!

Then will come the new house and the Diner finished finally!!

Sorry to bore you with details and thanks for checking in.
