Wow it's been a while since I posted on here and I quite enjoyed most of the stroll down memory lane (minus the sidebar from internet trolls). I cant believe I remembered my password on this site!
I guess it's time for a 6 year update?
First off I no longer own this home/garage. We sold it back in 2010. I don't have any "after" pics that show the garage fully completed but it to this day doesn't look too much different. The new owner uses it as a 1 car garage to the best of my knowledge.
I no longer own the Grand National that is prevalently displayed in this thread either. The house I don't miss too much, the Grand National I do however miss on occasion. But I've moved on in life, housing, and toys.
The current home we live in has a detached 2 car garage. It's a 2 stall unit. One side is used up to house my longtime toy/project 2000 Civic Si. Still the same car but it appears a bit different since the last pics I posted here. The other side is for the snowblower and various storage needs including tools, lawn equipment, spare parts so on and so forth. It's tight quarters in there but I'm thankful to have a garage for my tools and car nonetheless.
The main reason I have come back is because we have started the process of possibly building a new home/garage. Without spending too much time with boring details the carriage house will have a nice big open kitchen and patio for the Mrs and a 3 car garage for me with a work shop and nice water view. Fingers crossed. It's all in the beginning stages at the moment but we are very excited to say the least. Having a family friend help us with the blueprints. Once I have final prints I'll share more details.
Here are a couple of pics of my current modest garage that is actually very similar to my former garage. Here's hoping it's not another 6+ years before I update again
