ABout 80% done with the front (reshingled and replaced the trim). Have a few loose ends and need to get my new door order.

Looks good! I like the shingled siding - not something you see as often and gives things a different character. What did you use? I have some wood shingle siding on my house I'm going to need to replace and am thinking about going to the fiber-cement product.

Thank you, it matches the house which has the same siding. They are R&R Red Cedars. Not cheap but I love how they look and thy are durable as far as weathering goes.

Great burnout video and a fantastic GN. Having one has always been a dream of mine. You are making good use of the space you have. Got a small shop myself, just have to work with what you have, it's all about floor space.

Wow it's been a while since I posted on here and I quite enjoyed most of the stroll down memory lane (minus the sidebar from internet trolls). I cant believe I remembered my password on this site!

I guess it's time for a 6 year update?

First off I no longer own this home/garage. We sold it back in 2010. I don't have any "after" pics that show the garage fully completed but it to this day doesn't look too much different. The new owner uses it as a 1 car garage to the best of my knowledge.

I no longer own the Grand National that is prevalently displayed in this thread either. The house I don't miss too much, the Grand National I do however miss on occasion. But I've moved on in life, housing, and toys.

The current home we live in has a detached 2 car garage. It's a 2 stall unit. One side is used up to house my longtime toy/project 2000 Civic Si. Still the same car but it appears a bit different since the last pics I posted here. The other side is for the snowblower and various storage needs including tools, lawn equipment, spare parts so on and so forth. It's tight quarters in there but I'm thankful to have a garage for my tools and car nonetheless.

The main reason I have come back is because we have started the process of possibly building a new home/garage. Without spending too much time with boring details the carriage house will have a nice big open kitchen and patio for the Mrs and a 3 car garage for me with a work shop and nice water view. Fingers crossed. It's all in the beginning stages at the moment but we are very excited to say the least. Having a family friend help us with the blueprints. Once I have final prints I'll share more details.

Here are a couple of pics of my current modest garage that is actually very similar to my former garage. Here's hoping it's not another 6+ years before I update again :wtf:

Nice cars! I just read through your thread and had a good laugh at the troll that had to involved in something that was unnecessary. Seems like someone that just doesn't like imports and has to find something to ***** about. Anyways, glad to see someone still own their original SI. I had a 99 that I bought new and just sold it in 2011. I went through many phases with it from nitrous, turbo the b16 motor, then turbo LS Vtec to finally the last motor was a 98 JDM B18C (type R) motor when I sold it. Kinda regret selling it but just had it sitting in my garage for many years without being touched. Around here, you can enjoy a car like that anymore. Too many thieves and didn't want to deal with being followed home and being held up at gun point for a car. Good luck with the build and looking forward to more pictures.

Thank you very much. I should know better than to pay acknowledge the trolls. I think I've wised up a little the last 8 years and prefer to ignore them instead these days haha.

Yes I love my EM1. Owned it since 99 and it still puts a smile on my face after 15 years. I just cant bring myself to ever sell it even though my Miata gets most of my attention these days. I do agree though that owning and KEEPING an EM1 is quite the task nowadays. Cheers.
