Stumbled upon this site and thought I would share my creation. This is my 30'x90' amish built pole barn/house located on our farm in central Ohio. The house portion was stick-built on a concrete foundation and the barn portion is your typical pole construction. The footprint of the house encompasses slightly more than a third of the overall structure. The barn is 20' tall on the outside and has scissor trusses on 2' centers. I put a loft in the end of barn and it measures 16'x30'. There are two large sliding doors opposite one another to allow air to flow completely through the barn. I did this so I would be able to swing out one door, through the barn, then out the other door.
Here are a few pics during and after construction. I will have to take more pictures this weekend since we have a concrete apron on all sides of the barn now.
In case your are wondering, the house is two-stories with a walk-out finished basement.

But it does allow kids to legally leave the doors open all the time...."Hey ..shut the door, you think you were born in a barn?"
J/K. I'd also like to see some more pics of the build.
