Looks awesome.

yea need more tools nowThats a lot of toolboxes...................I'm jealous and I have a few.
I am a Marine Engineer on a Mobile Production Unit in the Gulf. I work a 28/28 Rotation, So home 28 and work 28. I have been doin it for 13 years now. Yes My Parent are across the street and they have been a blessing for the rough times. Thanks the Shop been the best project i have ever done. I do like a bit of a challenge but I love doing the layout and progression of the shop stuff. My time at work helps me figure out my design and ideas to make it the best. So it will be the most useful for sure. I finally got around to running some more outlets next to the shop doors. So I don't have to use as much extension cords. I got the mill and lathe kind of where i want them still unsure about the milling machines orientation may 45 it in the corner. Also the wife introduced me to Dirt cheap (amazon and other overstock inventory) and I picked up 2 72" celling fans For like $50 I got 1 up still got to mount the other. They basically look like a flea on a elephant in the shop but IDCWhat kind of work do you do off-shore? How long are you home and how long are you away? I'm sure knowing your family is watched over by your parents is comforting.
Great shop, i am looking forward to seeing some projects.
Yea I have been also waiting on Materials to come down in prices tooFound your thread a few days back and have been chugging though it since. Glad to see you're posting again !! That is seriously a sweet space and having the kiddos/family involved and out there is the cherry on top.
Since our shop has gone up and the office/kitchen has been finished we spend as much time out there on the weekends as a family as we do on the house. It's great, especially in the winter. The kiddos have an indoor place to ride bikes and draw with floor chalk and mess around.
Truly happy to read that little miss is doing great !! I've a close friend that had his daughter go through leukemia a few years back and it was hard to watch but oddly uplifting at the same time. No one wants kids to be sick but seeing how the community came together changed us all. Our circle of friends strengthened and we all made new friends. Best part is our kids saw each other enough that they consider themselves cousins now.
Random thoughts .....
The outdoor bathroom vent is a great idea .... Wish I'd have done that. I vented mine into the attic and put a drip pail under a loop I made for it to drip in if needed. It needs to be redone ..... Outside just may be the answer.
Is the loft going to be open to the shop or closed in ? If you said I may have missed it .....
28/28 schedule is intense but I bet it's nice to have a month back home when it happens !!!
The house/yard/shop layout and driveways turned out really nice. Really nice !!
Has the infloor heat been hooked up ? You don't have near the pipes in the floor as I do but I'd imagine it's warmer in TN than Central MN.
Following along for more !!!
Thank you I appreciate it. It has been a bit more difficult than I had anticipated. Shelby is in Dance and cheerleading and William is in Boy scouts and Ninja warrior as well as both are in school. Most of the time I work on the shop after they go to bed between 9:30pm to 2-3am So I can spend the most time with them. That being said the shop is a complete Wreck lolJust found this thread and went thru it all. I love everything about your build and your family. Blessings to you from Michigan!
I am a Multi Project kind of guy lolLooks like some fun projects in there!
Nope, My plan is use it as a storage lift and get my 68 mustang off my carport at the house. Here is the hole dug out and the kids are reference as to how deep it is and the pool chilling in the front yard. Can't knock a free lift. I have one sort of like that i use for storing 2 cars. I like your plan and agree with the vacationing at home idea.
Thank You, Why does the UK now allow garages that big? Shelby has been a true blessing I don't know if its the 2nd child syndrome but she is fearless and doesn't let anything ruin her mood or day. She has a 1 year checkup in Feb so fingers crossed. Glad to hear you beat it as well I will defiantly say my prayers for you as well Friend. With It getting dark @ 5pm the flood lights have been handy got to add some more though. My dad said i look like a gas Station. One of my wife's coworkers was getting rid of her hot tub. So to load it with no equipment I finally installed my winch on my aluminum car hauler. My mustang has to live on the edge of the carport till i get the 4 post lift up in the shop and hopefully the hot tub will migrated closer to the pool this summer.Wow. I love the shop I only wish to have something that size but here in the UK we don't get that chance. I wish your daughter well I know what she's going though I have had cancer for the last 2 years but am in remission now. I don't know how but kids seem to just get on with being sick without complaining too much hopefully she is bouncing back and 2023 will be a better year for her. Keep the updates coming

Its same around here too Prices are insane. My Biggest life mistake is not building my house when I was 8Space is at something of a premium in the UK. There’s no legal reason you can’t have a garage that big, but property prices mean it’s not an option available to many.

Yea i was very impressed how well it worked. As for the lift it is a 15,000lbs lift cost was around $6500The thermal images look sweet !! Sure is a handy tool.
Is the lift a 15,000lb lift or did it cost $15k ? Looks like a monster !!
Thanks I am southern middle tn (Lynnville)Nice place and nice views even if theres a gas station ruining your dads view! What part of TN are you in?
