I think she'd rather be parked in the house. parking a woman in the garage can cause loads of grief for the man of the house. No matter how nice the Nova she shares the space with.

I think he meant just the nova will be in the garage :lol_hitti. Of course, he might be spending a few nights out there in the future. Let's just hope that he is there because he is working on a project, and that he is not in "the doghouse."

Welcome James! Congrats on the new place. Looks like it's coming along well.

You will want to wait until the temperature is consistently above 50° when you apply the epoxy floor paint.

Congrats, nothing like having your first house, your own space to mess with as you please. Love the Nova, most people I know had to sell their pride and joy to get into their first place, I did it tough for a while, but I kept my toys. Love the color scheme.

LOL Thanks for all the comments guys! She was really tired, it was 12PM on a work night and she kept saying "lets go home" I had to get some garage pics though.

I've had the nova since high school, I did a full restore on it with my dad back in 2003.

Fatbrosracing: Ya I know what you mean about having to sell your car to get in you first place. I did think about selling it but I sold my 07 rabbit instead. Now I have a 95 civic as a DD. And ya I like your colors too LOL!

Heres a few updated pics. I Still have lots to do but I wanted to get one of my cars in the garage. I'm going to try to restore the snap on box a bit too. I might try to wax it LOL. Ill be bringing over the nova as soon as I get the garage done.

Looking good. And your girl seems to be a good sport even if less than thrilled to be spending time rehabbing the garage.

Good luck with the rest of your work.

Okay I did a bit more decorating. I also Replaced my stereo after looking in the "garage stereo" thread. I saw people using car CD players for stereos in the garage. It just so happend I had a kenwood deck lying around. So I wired it up and it sounds awesome.

JBL speakers. I may add two more on each side of the main garage door. I'm not sure yet though.

So I finally got around to building my laundry room and the false wall around the furnace. I still need to mud, tape and paint but here are some pics. Next up is flooring.

So I'm really on the fence about what I should do on flooring. I already bought two epoxy floor kits, The weather-beater sears kits. I'm just afraid the floor will lift. As you can see my floors already had paint on them. I was planning on renting a sander to sand the floors clean then use the acid etching kits. I'm not sure what I want to do. Any thoughts?

James... I went to Home Depot and rented a concrete grinder with diamond tipped studs on the bottom to give a good rough sanding on the floor. Then acid etched and seemed to have been good until moisture coming up from under my footings in my basement/garage and caused the epoxy to start peeling. RaceDeck will be going in once I get the water issue figured out. It also doesn't help that my county here in GA had record flooding the last month.

James,

What kind of attachment device did you use for the stereo? I myself have an older Alpine head unit, a set of Polk mid's and a sub that I would like to put in my garage. I have already picked up a dedicated power supply from RadioShack.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

I just bout a universal under dash radio kit. from a local stereo shop. Here is a link to one on e-bay. Not bad for 12 dollars shipped. Good luck

congrates on your new home, great garage and car. Question how did you power your car stereo for the garage?

Thanks! I used a 12 volt 2 amp power supply adapter you can buy at most small electronic stores. I bought mine at Radio shack.

I painted my garage this weekend. I only got the walls done. I still need to paint the trim and ceiling. I'm going to paint the ceiling red. I need to get some more shop lights in too.
