I figured I would finally start a thread to track my progress in my garage. I purchased this house about a year and a half ago. Most my time is spent in my garage working on cars and bikes so my main goal with the garage is just to make it very usable space. In the winter I need to store my summer car and motorcycle so I want to get the most out of the open space as I can.
Future plans:
Larger workbench on the back wall
Better lighting
tire machine/balancer
insulation
Couple pics of my garage interior:
current
Early in 2013 I paved the driveway
Then Late in 2013 I installed an in-floor scissor lift:
With only a 25x29 garage I didn't want a post in the middle of it and I spend most of me free time working on cars, mostly s2000's, and occasionally bikes. I originally tried to get an Ever-eternal EE6503 lift but had quite a few difficulties with getting one over seas (I think a lot has changed in the past few years). I ended up buying this Mohawk lift off a buddy of mine, used but much better quality and American made. Very happy with it and it has a nice distribution block so I can only raise/lower one side at a time if I want to use it for bikes as well.
here is a pictorial of my Mohawk TSL-7 full rise scissor lift install. Still needs the finishing touches but it's 95% complete right now.
