Well, i have been lurking here for a while and thought i would finally introduce myself and show you my dirty shop.
For a little background about this place.
This house and shop was built by my grandparents in about 1993. The lot is located on a cul-de-sac so the lot is one of the largest in the neighborhood at about a third of an acre. My grandfather was a machinist all of his life starting before WWII and continuing up until he retired in the 80's. In about 1977 he bought the Victor lathe and then the Enco mill a few years later. After he officially retired he made ornamental brass things, Such as custom solid brass door knobs, for higher end clients. He actually made a lot of the hardware for Jerry Jones house in Dallas when it was being built in the mid 90's. He continued this up until 2 years ago when he started to lose his eye sight so he had to give it up.
My Grandparents moved into a retirement home about two years ago and shortly after is when my family moved in.
The shop is a detached 15x30 with 8 foot ceilings and is totally sheetrocked. I haven't really changed much in the shop except add some drawers into the workbench and redo the old Quincy compressor and add a hose reel with a motorcraft air filter.
Anyway here are the pics. They are taken from the main door and look from right to left.
