Hope everyone had a good weekend, lots of little things here to get caught up on after being gone last weekend and as
@Xti04 mentioned in his weekend recap, the weather here was rather horrible last week, cold and rainy every day. BUT, weather cleared up and we did our annual chili cookoff / Halloween shindig at my wives old neighborhood/cul de sac, always a fun time!
Saturday brought nice weather and decently warm temps, so we juggled a few random projects, starting with getting some "decor" hung up at my step daughters house, including the new to her TV, which meant I needed to get a new to us TV installed here...nothing special, so no photos lol.
Once we got that done, it was finally time to get the laundry room cabinet painted that has been a back burner project for too long due to a variety of weather changes/challenges. I originally wanted to spray it like the other one, but finally gave up on that and just rolled it, should have done that 6 months ago LOL
Started by getting the doors setup in the basement...painting the back first

Then upstairs to paint the cabinet itself

Then Saturday night I gave the fronts a first coat, finished them up yesterday. There is a couple bits of crud in them, plan is to get them installed, sand those spots down and touch them up

While the fronts were drying I got the cabinet secured to the wall, the outlets in the center made it easy to find a stud! Will see how much weight gets put in there and decide if it needs a couple more screws, but it feels pretty sturdy

In the midst of Saturdays adventures, I picked up the Cayman from my buddy that I borrowed the truck from, didn't feel like dealing with it last week during the crappy weather, plus the misses and I wanted to take a little drive on Sunday morning to see if there were any good colors up on the Blue Ridge Parkway (spoiler alert, nothing good), but the lower elevations on my favorite driving roads were nice, so she got her leaf peeping fix for the year.
After getting the car, I wanted to put the trailer in the back by the garage, so decided to see just how wide the gates open and if this was going to be a fiasco to get the trailer back there....lets just say threading the needle is an accurate depiction

BUT, as USPS says, "
If it fits, It ships!"

With the trailer now safely stored in the back yard, the Cayman was parked and ready for our drive Sunday AM

After getting back from our drive and running a couple errands we headed back to the other house to finish the last of the hanging stuff chores and while my wife and daughter were watching their foozeball competition I set out to the garage to start work on the floor so I can get cars moved over there sooner than later.
Taking notes from
@madison069 and
@SilverJimmy I started prepping the floor for Sikaflex and backer rod (courtesy of
@Boostingaz)

I didn't have as good of luck with using the same method for pushing the backer rod down in as
@madison069, but stir stick still did the job, used the end of the logo as my stopping point, hopefully its enough, I'm estimating it is down ~3/8"

Couple hours and a couple beers later, feeling rather unpleasant from being hunched over, that task was complete

Will be curious to run over there this week at some point and check it out, then figure out when I'll be able to catch a weather window to get the flooring sprayed.
Hope everyone has a good week!
