WALT: sounds like FGI might be on a road trip and maybe on his way to the rescue. or maybe he has a way to do face time or some other way to talk you through the process.
can you take pictures with your cell phone like i do? then what i do is email all my daily pictures to myself. then i open up the email on my laptop and open up the pictures, do any editing i need to and mostly lighten them up cause my camera is old and takes dark pictures, then i save in a file that i made for each item. in your instance make a GARAGE FOLDER and then just date the new items. if you have many photos of a particular item say like cement or insulation or electrical then make new folders inside garage folders. my method is far from the fastest or best method available, but it works for me so I'll keep doing this until i figure out something better or get a new phone that might work easier another way.
i used to take pictures with my Kodak digital, then set the camera in it's loading dock and download pictures that way that worked pretty well, but then i'd have to remember to take the camera and i always have my cell phone on me hence the change for convenience.
