Walt, you are rocking the pictures again! The build is looking great. I am hoping to get my building insulated in a month or two and I think I am going the spray as well. It's look like they did a great job. Also envious of your new lift! :)

Walt just followed your whole story ,,,,,great looking shop......great progress....you know it is great to have a wife that supports you and is there for you.!!!!! lucky guy .....was shocked a bit to see the bendpak being installed by YOU..........what about the 5 lb limit {yeah I know it is tough to take care of yourself} but please.....please do not overdue anything.......you have had a great shock to your body and are going to go through some challenging times with the chemo/radiation so do not overdo it.......we all want you to enjoy that great shop of yours......having been through a lot of what you have gone through the only advice I can give is to listen to your body it will tell you when it's go time or when it" NO time [R&R]...remember John Wayne is dead so pace yourself and a year from now this will be all gone and you can get back to your normal routine but it does take time........my wife says I could not be a doctor because I don't have any patients..........Good Luck feel well bobbycoke

WALT: did you figure out the pictures on your own or did you and figureitout do that yesterday instead of today? in any case i'm very happy you are able to take and post pictures of your progress.

i also agree that it's very easy to over work yourself and with all your body is and has been going through you might want to get a young honest kid/guy to come over and help you and your wife. i did see the chair and maybe your first sign in one or two of the pictures and loving that huge lift.

take care and keep taking and posting pictures as you can.

cheers

bcoke. I am past my 5 lb limit. Sometimes I do use my head for something other than a hat rack. My body tells me what I can do, and when it says take a break I do. To install my lift required very little manual lifting, all done by the back hoe. Thanks for the compliments and for following along
walt.

My truck has a big happy face on the grill. It had a little pm in the form of a lube oil and filter change. The first real work to be done in my new shop. Today the two 14x14 and one 12x12 sectional doors will be installed. After that I will have a secure place for all my tools. At the present time all is in the conex container and the house garage. My better half will be in seventh heaven to have the house garage to park her new Subaru outback in.

Walt: nice work on the lift and happy days are on the horizon if your bride's car will be in the house's garage. WELL DONE!!

i bet you have more than a few nice goodies to put in your new garage that have been sitting in your house's garage and storage for a while. i'm also thinking you have a plan because even big garages fill up quickly.

good luck

My better half is happy as a clam, her car is parked in the attached garage of the house. This was my goal for yesterday to make enough room for her. I now have two operable overhead doors, and one two thirds finished. Shorted on parts for the third one. Manually operated for now, I have the openers but not the stamina to install them now.

Congratulations on a truly nice shop! Tennessee boy here originally, still have a house and shop there in West TN, but the government keeps me moving now. I don't know if I'm more envious of your shop or the M62; very useful little machine. Enjoy!

At last I have a weather tight secure shop The door installation was completed yesterday. Now all I have to do is feel better and get to where I can stand up without being so dizzy. I got nothing done since my last chemo on Tuesday last week, new pills attacking me. Next is to start on electric.

DIF Thanks for the visit. As of this moment at six forty five on Sunday morning I feel good. Hope to get out to my shed and do something toward installing one of the garage door openers. The electric is going to take a long time to finish.

53 pontiac sd Refer to above post for my being lost in space. Go out to the shop daily to do small things. Working to get things organized and also working on electricity. I can not figure out why I am being limited to looking at only two threads at a time. Whose toes did I step on???

Walt: with all the improvements or actually changes to make it more difficult the old laptops don't run the new programs as well as our old ones did. sad really cause the Windows XP that came out in around 1999 worked better than my Windows 10 does. that said if you can't function with your old computer it might be time for an upgrade.

i was going to buy a MAC cause i heard they don't have as many issues as Windows based computers, but my wife bought me a new DELL computer for my 60th BDay just over a year ago with a Dell customer service policy. that said i must have spent 100 hours with Dell's techs over in India getting my computer set up. they have the ability to fix your computer just like Figureitout was going to do remotely if you give them permission to.

I can't recall how much a Dell service policy is, but if you are having issues i bet the $20-30 per month to have a tech at your fingertips to call would be great for you.

best of luck and it's just part of life. if they made computers like they made old hand tools prior to WWII they wouldn't have a trillion dollar business selling us new stuff every couple years.

cheers

DIF I run windows 10. I had to upgrade ? June 12 2016.The best system was ME, but microsoft could not leave well enough alone. My only problem is with the garage journal site. I can only open one maybe two threads on this site. I have sent request to garage journal asking them to fix this problem. After four request I got an email saying they reset my password . Three days later I was able to look at all my threads. That only lasted for one day. I have tried to reply to at least two of your entry's to my thread but my messages went into outer space lost forever. After opening my allotted two messages I can only look at the messages and can not open any more of them. I am effectively locked out from all garage journal contact. This has been going on for over a month. I get the feeling that the powers that be want to get rid of me for doing something wrong.

Walt: I'm pretty sure GJ and their powers at be don't want to get rid of you so maybe you need to reset your cookies or delete them and re set your computer.

i'm not the computer expert and i'm happy when mine is working like it should so best of luck getting your issues fixed.

i'm looking forward to more pictures and hearing how your health is coming along after all those cheemo treatments so don't give up and hopefully you'll get your laptop working as well as I think your new shop is for you.

cheers

DIF I do not have a laptop it is a desk top Dell XPS. I have contacted Dell and have been told there is nothing wrong with my desktop. I have contacted me email provider and been told the same thing nothing wrong it is the gj site. all my other emails work fine it is only the garage journal site that is bad.

Walt: i don't know which browser you are using, but guessing Microsoft's Edge or Explorer?

a while back i switched over to GOOGLE CHROME as my browser and i don't seem to have any of the issues you do so maybe that might help. it's free to download. here's a link if you need one.

https://www.google.com/chrome/brows...hrfgodGG0GeA&dclid=CN3dptya6tMCFUuMYgodQasFDA

you can also set privacy by clicking CTRL, SHIFT and N if you don't want solicitors following you around when you browse GJ or other sites. ever look at a tool on a web site and then have the tool show up on ads as you browse other websites? yep they want to sell us something and make it as easy for us as possible.

i agree the old browsers and operating systems like ME and XP were better than Windows 7 or 10 so wish they'd just finish one of those and make it secure instead of changing things all the time and F'ing it up and having us pay for more stuff just to use it.

good luck

DIF I am doing OK. Most days I can not look at more than two of my subscribed threads. Why I don't know , my request for help from support at garage journal seam to fall on deaf ears. The two suggested remedies out of the five request did not do anything to help my problem on access.
The shop is coming along slow but sure. The chemo treatments kick my a*% and cause long delays in moving forward. I am half way thru my six months of chemo. All is like my father said "these are not the golden years they are the rusty years. Thanks for looking in on my thread DIF.

Happy fourth of July to all. I have tried to respond to post but always end up with post lost into outer space. I hope this one goes thru.
Hardly no progress in the shop, been to sick from CHEMO yuk. The longer this chemo goes on the worst it gets. All I can say is it is GREAT to be married to the greatest girl in the world. If not for her I really think I would be dead. My sweety makes life worth living. On that note today the forth of July is our nineteenth anniversary. Thanks to those who send words of encouragement and thank you for following along.

Walt: i've had a few issues with GJ in the past and usually it was operator error so hoping you figure it out cause we always like to see what you are up to. also if you get a chance to post on other guys threads please do.

do you maybe have a favorite picture you'd like to have show up under your name? go in your GJ profile and click on AVATAR and download one that will show up like my Bison made of old tools and scraps does. while you are in your GJ profile look at all the options and see if maybe you need to change a setting.

also when you log in make certain (sure) to check the box next to your log in name and password so you don't get logged off in the middle of the post.

best of luck with the CHEEMO and hope you survive it. sounds like you waited a while to get the upgrade in wives model and sounds like she's a keeper.

cheers (ice tea for this old guy)
