Looks good...no ideas on the door, hopefully Shopnut will stop by...he's got that kind of stuff covered. Hope your bays are always full and your customers pay in cash!

I knew I recognized that place just could not place it. Looking good. Like the Mustangs. I have a 95 GT and a 65 Falcon Futura. If you ever need anything on the electronics side let me know!

plus i get customers asking about the stuff, remote starts etc.

Sounds good, I will stop by sometime. Who should I ask for? Let me know what you need for the corolla and I will get you going. Good luck with the shop!

Hey man, the shop is looking good.

One thing that I might suggest. Get your fire extinguishers hung on the wall. I'd either paint a red block behind it or red strip on the wall. While you might know where they are, the others there may not.

Probably going to have to do something like this for that roll up.

http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerw...3ctl00_cwtopnavcontrol1_mainmenu_skiplink'%22

You may want to look into some of those overhead fire extinguishers too. Can't remember what they are called but there is at least one thread on here with them. They look like red propane tanks mounted to the ceiling.

I would normally say a fire sprinkler system since that is the industry I am in but I would bet that place would be nowhere near cheap to do.

they do all hang on the hang, i just havent had a chance to rehang them , and they all have big signs that go on the wall aswell:thumbup:

:edit: you must be speaking of the one for the welder or torchs. the deal with that one is, if you grab the welder, grab the extinguisher. if you grab the torchs same deal

everything looks good so far.... what type of shop are you running? It looks like you're doing something with performance/racing. Do I spy a RX7 with a 5.0 motor in it??? Are you planning on putting in any lifts? It looks like you may not have the height for lifts. :( Could always opt for a mid rise lift.... (not the best lift but some lift is better than no lift.) Keep us posted....

only one area has low ceiling, but part of that area has high ceiling if you look at the pics better.

and yes i just finished up that 5.0 rx7. i have done a few ls1 fd's too. i do alot of performance stuff, but the general auto repairs helps alot, faster turn over rate and it pays good. what i do is a subject for a whole other thread. but i have some update pics to post.......

Ok, so im mad at the world (cover up for mad at the gf)

and im have too many ideas flow with the gears stuck in over drive in my brain, so im up late working on the shop. no thanks to you guys here for giving me lots of ideas (been reading alot and snagging idears)

but this was a free table/ work bench i found. got to love that right? any way, it was always to low for my liking. so i changed that! and with the open bottom, it did waste space (like im worried about space with all i have lmao)
IMG_20120129_231937.jpg

so make the bottom healthy
using scraps from the construction we have been doing (and that big pile of wood)
IMG_20120130_001715.jpg

ive had my small sheet metal brake on this for some time, but i used the handle from the tool box we built into the work bench, so it would help move this heavy thing around.
IMG_20120130_005714.jpg

finally found my tubing notcher, and mounted it (used to clamp it in the vise)
IMG_20120130_011628.jpg

and made sure it was good and on there too! it has alot of adjustment, and rotates and all that jazz , but it can be used from either side
IMG_20120130_011636.jpg

using stuff from the tool box again (this helps bring the height up to better suit me)
IMG_20120130_011701.jpg

mounted them to 2x6 to make is sturdy, tuck them in some, and get it to height!
IMG_20120130_013615.jpg

since i already loaded it, flipping it over was not what i was doing, so i jacked it up
IMG_20120130_012032.jpg

and bam! muchy better!
IMG_20120130_014810.jpg

still going to add more, but this works for now. now to organize the shop some, put tools up so i can get to working on cars in the morning!

Any roller door company should have what you need to make that door open on a motor.

What a great place. Well I hope you can show us later as you progress. As those places to me are just as important as the work area.
