Well, I am just about recovered from doing my racedeck install last week. I took a few days off work since I had some time I had to use before the end of the year. The racedeck arrived at my house Wednesday afternoon and I did the install on Thursday. By far, the hardest part was moving everything out of the garage and back in. If I had to do it again I would have asked for help moving all of my stuff, once its outside I wanted to get it back in as quickly as possible and I really had to hustle. These old bones just don't like manual labor any more.
The floor was epoxy, if you can call it that, coated with the do it yourself rustoleum kit from homedepot. It was the first thing I did to my house before I moved in. Clearly this is before I found the garage journal or I would have either used a commercial epoxy or did the racedeck before I put anything in the garage.
I still have some final tweaks to make. In hindsight I would have measured better and thought it through more thoroughly. I didnt do a bad job, but I dont think I did as well as I could have. I have a 4" gap where the floor meets the gas curb. I have plenty of tiles to cut down to fill this in, but should I use another 3" edge tile there instead? Just my own internal debate.
Anyways, here are the pictures. I didn't get any with everything back in the garage but I will take some tonight and post them up tomorrow.
Questions, comments, and constructive criticism are always welcome.
