Well, this is not my first construction project by far but still learning.
My name is Chris and I work on just about every type of motorcycle possible. I run a used bike/parts business (ok salvage yard..lol) and decided my 24X24 attached just was not cutting it anymore. I decided to build another 24X24 a couple months ago and just put in a rock drive next to the tree line going down the west side of my existing garage/house.
The only before pictures i could find. Sorry I was not a member of this place when I started building and never thought about taking any pictures.
The area where new garge is going up. I had a 12X16 shed and about 15 motorcycles parked there. The shed is now on the other side of yard and all of the bikes are located behind new garage with a gate and road packed ground covering. It is nice having all of them stored out of sight and in a neat row...lol
Couple of pictures of what I had and going for.
2 months later here is where I am at. Things grew and changed as I went and so did my expenses.
I ended up with a 26X30 and concrete driveway about 130’ foot long. Removed all 8 trees on the tree line and put up a white vinyl privacy fence.
I also decided to do some different things with this garage and kind of make it my second home. I mounted some speakers in the ceiling. I ran ¾” pipe for air throughout with drops on all walls because I use many air tools all the time. The walls are just USB but I have drywall in front garage and don’t care much for it. I painted the walls a “Gatepost grey” and then after finding this place decided to paint some stripes on the walls and epoxy the floor.
Here are some pictures of the walls as of now. Still have a couple minor spots to touch up with the grey. Put wall outlets and switches in. Trim out speakers, windows and man door.
Hoping to have all of this done this week and will be putting down the epoxy this weekend. I bought my epoxy through originalcolorchips.com and went with the solvent based products. ***NOTE*** If you are buying through this place do not buy online. Call them and speak with a representative. He saved me about 200.00 off the web prices! The floor will be a grey basecoat with a custom Harley mix of chips (black, bright orange, white and silver metallic). There will also be a 6’ wide HD logo in the middle of the bay area in the epoxy.
Will take lost more pictures as I go and post them up.
