Looking sweet! It's tough to keep working in an unheated space during the winter, but think of the "extra" time you'll have once temps climb and Spring arrives! Not to mention the completed and upgraded shop space!

I am working out in the cold as well and here in NH things are chilly again. Temp was -4*F this morning and I will be out all day in it again at our local snowmobile Groomer Barn prepping for a radar run event tomorrow.

Nice place you've got going!

You sure you don't want to put some sliding doors up in the framed out sections? That is a ton of wasted storage potential.

That's my thought too. I hate that all that space is going to be wasted. That would be perfect for a heater, horizontal air compressor, or just hidden storage.

Either way, nice build. Keep it up.

Here are those photos ... Got another piece up, and was FINALLY able to start putting stuff back against the wall.. AWESOME! haha I know ... I'm easily amused but its awesome to be able to push stuff back against the wall, and know that I don't have to move it again right away ... thou I will when I finish the ceiling and the top of the wall.

Photo's ...

It takes awhile when its just me, myself, and I. No complaints about the music thou when its just me! haha

Can't wait to get it all finished up, so I can start doing the fun stuff, Cabinets, organizing, and get back to turning wrenches, Woodworking, etc etc

If I would have used it for storage, I'd have lost the clean look by having access doors. I have plenty of overhead storage as the other half of the ceiling is a Loft that provides plenty of storage should I need it. Its one of those Sacrifices that must be made for aesthetics sake.

Thanks for the

Nice going, Scott. I always said big projects are like eating an elephant. Ya take 'em one bite at a time...

You picked out colors yet? Or are all us painters gonna have to come down there and tag the place? haha

I'm bout sick of eating this big azz elephant ... but the end is near, I'd say I'm on the last Hind quarter ( hmmm BBQ'd elephant)

Colors, yes, Walls are to be Dark Grey on the bottom, white on the top, with a Black Stripe in the middle to divide the two, with some 1/4" Orange Pinstripping on either side of the black.
Same for the Epoxy floor, Dark Grey with White, Black and Orange chips..

But if you want to come on down I've still got that mural to put on the wall ...
And I am thinking about doing a Open House BBQ kinda thing for my local GJ bretheren ...

cabinet turned out pretty good. I see a little bowing but nothing that front won't fix. it fits well in the corner......almost like it was made for it!

Ha!

Honestly, I thought that cabinet was going to be in the opposite corner up by the doors. Hence why I was suprised by the hieght.

curious to see how the other cabinet work turns out.

Looks great!

Run some low voltage wire for speakers on either side of the arch before you close everything up. I think those areas would be a good spot for sound, along with objects d' garage art.

@ nhmercracer its in the works. Just gotta pickup the wire - It'll be a bit before I get the $$ to do the ceiling and all (need a drywall lift)

@ dlenkewich Thanks! Its a bit of a PITA working with something that isnt square, the floor slopes, but with trial and error (I made PLENTY of errors believe me) all it takes is some practice.

That cabinet is looking mighty fine, Scott. Great job of taking those BITES! haha.

Do you have access to an engine hoist? I used one to put my OSB ceiling up. We just made a attachment out of wood to hold the d-wall. Don't have any pics but as it swings up, we made it level out at nine feet tall. Piece of cake!

JC - I can Rent one for 40 bucks. I just need the money to get all the drywall, plus I need to redo the wiring, and blah blah blah ... LOL

Bit by bit I suppose. I just wish I had the money to throw at my space as alot of the others around here.

What kind of hoist are you needing? I have a nice heavy duty ceiling hoist that Im not using right now...........It's just hanging there with nothing to pick up. Let me know if you're ever in the Ft. Knox area, and you can use it till your finished.

Send me a PM if interested!!

I dropped em back to 3/4" wide and flipped the black and orange colors. The black was just a bit too much with the dark grey on the bottom, so it looks better with the wide orange and smaller black strips. Pics shortly
