Ok. Sorry for the delay. Been gone a few days and I had to work on my car. Was able to enjoy the garage for the first time. It was amazing I worked all day and no frustration. It amazing what a clean work area that is set up with the right tools does to a man!

Anyway. I purchased the Rapidair kit a while back but forgot to post pictures of the install. Since I was trying to achieve as much "work space" as possible that meant moving everything nonessential or large down in the basement. This included the air compressor. I have a Milwaukee cordless impact, and ratchet so I haven't used air tools in a while but I still need it time to time. I considered black pipe, copper, and the Rapid air kit. I decided copper was the most cost effective. That is until I got to Home Depot and realized all the extra elbows and fitting were going to add up. Not to mention it is more permanent.
I put everything back and went with the Rapidair. I went with the 3/4" kit. With 25' of that and another 50' of hose I wanted to minimize pressure drop.

I got that and the filter/regulator ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451366916.126042.jpg

I ran it from the attic above the garage straight down to the basement.

it is hidden by the insulation, but I did have the make a slight "s" shape as the wall it ran through was above the concrete basement wall. It comes with 100' but I will only need about 25'. It is going to the center of the garage where I will put a drop for my hose reel I got for Christmas. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451367160.227497.jpg

Got a little bit more done today. Finished mounting my regulator and air drop in the basement. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451628780.404563.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1451628793.720496.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1451628803.971790.jpg
I don't have the compressor attached yet, but you can see where it is plugged into the outlet that is controlled by the switch in the garage.

Then I got another Christmas present mounted in the garage. Only temporary but it will do until I get it mudded and painted. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451628928.339197.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1451628948.058284.jpg

And I finally got my sink mounted. Took some work and a little "caressing" but I had to hit a solid stud and get around the flanges in the back. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451629055.575059.jpghere I have 2 blocks mounted to the wall. I wanted to attach them to the wall then the sink to the blocks from the side. But there were these flanges so I couldn't get them up against the inside. So I notched the one block and hooked the flange around the notch. Ended up working pretty wellImageUploadedByTapatalk1451629177.623325.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1451629189.158139.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451629325.145742.jpg
Only one screw on each side but it is really solid now. Really happy.

Awesome work. I like the compressor in the basement with the switch. But is it too loud with it in the house

Not sure yet. A little nervous. Especially with a baby on the way. It if is loud I will build a plywood/foam box around it to help. Luckily the baby room is on the opposite side of the house.

Nice work so far! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress as my garage is pretty much the exact same size and I am interested in doing a few of the same things to mine.

In what part of St. Louis are you? I grew up in south city, then went to north county for 15 years and now I'm in Lake St. Louis.

Looking good so far. Can you install the newage workbench standalone, or does it have to go next to one of those tall cabinets?

The workbench is stand alone. However it isn't very deep and therefore less stable. That is a downside. Hopefully I will have progress on raising it up tomorrow. Then I will probably fasten it to the cabinet or wall to increase the rigidity.

Sorry for not posting in a while. Lack of motivation, time, and energy have gotten in the way. That and hours of missing don't make for great pics.
In the past couple of weeks I got the ceiling and the walls mudded. Yesterday I sanded and today I am at least painting the ceiling. My shoulders are pretty sore.
In other news I finally got the cabinet issue resolved. Newage shipped replacements for both. No questions asked woohoo!

A little more work this weekend. Wife helped paint all the corners while I wired up all the lights and did some touch up on some rough spots on the ceiling. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1454287699.354632.jpgthis is with just the 3 normal lights

These lockers are spacious! My only concern is putting the gas cans in the locker.
Since the cabinets are metal and the cans are plastic should I be OK as far as risk of static charge?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1454861826.730956.jpg
