So "lots" of people complain that SK's warranty is complete junk and they don't warranty this or that, and that you have to pay for shipping both ways (or sometimes one way) etc. Now some of those stories it was in doubt whether the tools had been abused, it was the original warranty, and what company it was done under (pre ideal or Ideal). So I decided to document my warranty progress!
I purchased two hex bits new from NTX tools, and then a Metric and SAE stubby wrench set from Tooltopia. The metric set I got was definetely new stock from Ideal era and was great. The SAE set looked like it had been pieced together of two pre-ideal wrenches and the rest made under Ideal (as a side note, the "SK" stamping was different). The two pre-ideal wrenches were developing rust spots. The hex bits were both extremely rusty. The 19MM was also loose and didn't look like it was ever properly machined. The other was just slightly rusty-but it was new.
So.... I emailed SK service (Wednesday). They responded the next day(Thursday) , asked me for the tool part numbers, and then emailed me a UPS label telling me to enclose a brief note to detail what is wrong with the tools. I shipped it off Friday, it arrived there Tuesday, and they turned around quickly and sent me a package that same day. It just arrived!
4 new tools, no cost to me all in about a week!
I don't see any complaint here!
