My Split level 2 car attached makeover

So I moved from a house that had detached 24x26 garage that I built. I loved the size. Last July we moved about 2 miles away for a bigger house with more kids in the neighborhood, but a smaller attached garage. Great neighborhood but most of the houses are turning over and not a lot of work has been done to them since the 70's. This split is a "L" shaped 4 level with an attached 22x 24 with a 5 step stairwell in the corner. I remodeled the kitchen, had a 10x14 shed put up and partially remodeled a bathroom all after we moved in last year. This year its a new concrete driveway with garage slab, and waterproofing 2/3s of the basement walls.
The garage had this neat shelf system on the back wall that I didn't really need now with a shed built and my old kitchen cabinets installed on another garage wall. I would much rather have the added depth in the garage. Tearing these out generated quite a bit of scrap wood. I salvaged the long vertical 2x4s for forms, the rest will be firewood.

So I had to get rid of teh shelves to also facilitate concrete slab removal. the slab was cracked and sunk about 4" along the house. The floor drain was not in the center of the garage. Since this house is a split level it makes it very difficult to run additional electric or gas into the garage. So while the concrete was removed I added a gas line for future heat, this originates at the gas meter on the side of the house. I also ran 1.5" elec. conduit from under the front window (access to basement and panel) and into the garage.

The subbase under the slab had sunk at least 4" all the way around the perimeter of the slab.

I decided making a 3 point turn into the garage really *****, and since I live on a corner lot I decided it would be great to have a loop drive which would allow me to pull straight into the garage now. In all it's 1800sft of concrete, or 25cyds.

The pour went well for a very hot day, we had a big crew and started at 8 AM and finished by noon.

Now comes the fall projects of running the additional electric for the garage (it only has 1 outlet) :dunno: and insulation and maybe the heater.

I can't wait to pull straight in. I've only had to rub house paint off the minivan 3x already from someone else pulling in the garage:dunno:

Here is the shot of the back wall now. Also a close up of my gas line and elec. conduit at the floor.

I will have to surface mount the elec. box since there is a header in this wall. but I was able to notch the block so I can keep the conduit on the wall cleanly.
