if you are flying the blue and yellow copter out of austin, then i seen you many times. in fact it has landed in my neighborhood. good luck with both jobs.![]()
I haven't quite decided on which way to go for the framing, though - red iron kit from Mueller, slip together tubing from Versatube,.....
Those light gauge flimsy frames like versatube are like a carport, I wouldn't use that stuff unless its the only way you can manage. I like heavy iron.
Thanks for the bump sigma. My side business has been taking up all my time. But next week big things are about to take place at the shop. Story next week
Great thread NT
I have a rookie question about the self tapping screws. Do you have to predrill the holes into the metal purlins?
Thanks in advance.

Ryan, Outstanding picture! and thank you i'll speak with the boss and make sure we get you a GJ discount on the next deliveries. We deliver to several from GJ and give them a discount also. I really need to update my build pictures. I have a done a lot and tired to up load but my photo bucket account had expired. The last year and a half have really been busy. I spend a lot of time here on GJ and seeing the truck in front of the Atomic shop made my day! Here is a quick shot of my bathroom sink I just finished this weekend.
man, i sure hope you and morio are all right. we missed the big stuff. travis is up 22 ft. i spent the tornado warnings in the lakeway hospqital with a broken leg
