Here is how its coming so far, one bay at a time. I have not stripped it and waxed it yet. I am just waiting on the self leveling filler to dry so i can razor it off level and finish the last bay.

I am amazed at how fast this stuff goes down. I can trowel out a 12x25' area in 20mins, and lay all the time in about 30mins, but the real time consumer is the edges. I have a VCT cutter, looks like a paper cutter, but still, it takes a long time to go around things.

Looks GREAT!!! I have been considering laying VCT in my garage also. Only thing that has me worried is hot tires leaving marks on it eventually. It is a very affordable flooring option for an average garage. Great job!

If you seal it with either a high quality sealant/polish, or epoxy, it wont be an issue.

I decided to go with VCT for many reasons, i am scared that an epoxy will peal. I just built my house 2 years ago and we are planning on spending 20-30yrs here before we move. I am not convinced epoxy can last 20-30years. The VCT i see in many commercial places, (grocery stores, office areas, warehouses, auto parts) even casale rental where i rented the roller had the blue VCT in there store. After seeing this and how its designed and used in industry i felt it was the product for me. I know it will be slippery in winter but i am willing to deal with it

Wax doesn't have to be slippery, depends on how you finish it and what wax you use.

Being slippery wasn't my point. Once you do it you have to keep it up or it looks like....well, less than appealing. The original finish wears well and takes less maintenance. I like the sheen but there's a point where you have to decide on a kitchen or a shop.

Here is a tip for you to make the cutting go faster. I replaced some tiles in my school and a professional flooring guy showed me this. Mark where you want to cut on the tile. Use a propane torch to heat up the back side of the tile. Move the torch around quickly to prevent it from burning the tile. The tile will soften dramatically. Cut the tile with a sharp utility knife while it is still warm.

Unfortunately mine, at only 5 months old, is looking like ***. Then again, I actually work in my garage. I need to strip and wax it.
