This goober was in a yard sale box lot.
Looks automotive, but no model number stampings.
Has circular logo stamp but that's it.
Ideas?

some old radiator hose clamps had two tangs on one side and one in the middle on the other side. That would align perfectly with those, I use regular pliers but maybe they made a special tool once.

Old Briggs and Stratton engines with points and condenser had a tool like that to compress the spring to install a new condenser. I modified a pair of old channel locks to make mine 50-55 years ago. Not much use since everything is now electronic ignition. On those you changed points and condenser and put a new flywheel key in them now you get to replace the much more expensive coil assy.
