I ordered a set of jack stands mentioned in another thread. That was March 20.

The day after they were due to arrive I got an email saying they were "delayed."

Okay, no big deal. I waited.

Seven days later I decided to see what was going on. Went to their site, no update on the order, still just "delayed." So I emailed them, using their form. Note that the form specifically says it's for contacting [email protected], as recommended in the email I received.

This is what I got back:

Seriously? The order's been stuck without moving for eleven days now, the only update I received was a week ago, and the address they provided for questions just replies they're too busy to talk to me and to call someone else?

Not that it will in any way solve your problem but...I wonder if they are stuck in the Port of Los Angeles / Port of Long Beach traffic jam. Those ports combined handle more than 30% of the containers that arrive in the US by sea.

There are more container ships off the local coast than I have even seen. They are stacked a few deep south from Longbeach to all the way to Newport Beach.

With the ships sitting offshore and the others that are already inbound, one article I read says they do not expect to clear the backlog until summer.

It's not the delay I mind so much, it's just that they specifically asked me to contact them this way and then when I did, they said not to contact them that way. It's unprofessional.

Dude - just call them. Or order from Amazon.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to call them, but if that's what they wanted me to do they should have said so in the first place instead of inviting me to email.

Regarding Amazon, the last time I talked here about ordering from them I got roasted alive for preferring Amazon to Walmart, so I'm not going down that road again.

I've never had any luck with email for stuff like that. I always hunt down a phone number and call until I get somebody.

It's an auto-parts store that's not really optimized for web sales. Yeah, they should have their **** together better, but it's not uncommon. :dunno:

 what's the difference between enriching the Walton family vs. Bezos?? And why do you care what people think??? :wtf:

I got the same reply from them sometimes I just don't feel like talking.
I picked up my stands the day I ordered them and I kept getting an email they were ready and finally they canceled my order and never billed me.
I was just trying to tell them they didn't charge me and I wanted to pay them, and I got the same reply
I had to call that number then when I called the number they couldn't do nothing I had to call the store.

OP did you ever get your stands?
Yes, I finally did. Apparently this product is drop shipped direct from the importer or manufacturer, and Napa has limited leverage with them; but I pestered Napa and Napa pestered their supplier and finally they arrived. They look good; tough and sturdy.

Because the thread (like this one) was supposed to be about something other than the politics of where people shop, and I didn't want it to turn into that.

The difference between enriching Walton vs Bezos is that Bezos never sneakily conspired with a neighboring town to annex a piece of land in my town, build a giant traffic-magnet store within spitting distance of my formerly bucolic suburban yard, and light up the parking lot like the surface of the sun 24/7.

When Walmart was built in moundsville WV,
I understand they hired a bunch of illegal aliens to build the store.
