Latest project,
18'-4" Lug yawl
9mm marine ply planking
yellow cedar stem, apron and keel.
I'm feeling the squeeze to get finished for break up.
Still a good bit to go

I have the Fine Woodworking Magazine on lapstrake boats September October 1982. Have you ever built a boat before?
Yes, quite a few boats, aluminum, cedar strip, stitch and glue, skin on frame.
Skin boats being my favorite, both building and paddling.
Here is a couple pics of a bent and lashed frame micmac canoe, my wife's favorite boat.
This one will be the first glued lapstrake.

I'm slowly finishing up my first lapstrake boat- an 18' rowboat. I'm at that point where I'm 90% done, and have 90% to go! Sooner or later, I'm gonna throw paint on the thing and go boating.

And here I thought I was 'cheating' using a Bridgeport milling machine! A Moore jig bore? Precision boat building...
Like your Bridgeport, the jig bore sure comes in handy, even on woodworking projects.
Here's a set of purple heart soft jaws for a vise project, cut on the Moore.

Love it, great job. I really want to build a canoe and a kayak, I just don't know if I'd really commit the time needed.

Got the mast centerlines laid out on the top of the sheer planks, for reference when landing the mast partners.
The mizzen mast rakes 9 degrees and the fore mast 5 degrees
Also picked up the floor shapes off of the station molds, I'll start cutting the floors tomorrow.
