I am going to install a cabinet in front of an outlet in my laundry room. There is not enough wire or access for me to pull the wire and bypass the box or run straight through it. I know that NEC says I can't permanently cover a junction box so I think I am going to have to set the cabinet and extend the box into the cabinet.
Am I correct that NEC would count a cabinet as a permanent fixture even though it is fairly easy to remove?
