Anyone heard of woolpower products?
My dad loved wool, I swear he would wear nothing but wool if he could. Me? I can't wear it, even Merino wool, it makes me want to rip off my skin. My dad has bought me all sorts of "wool" products that were no itch, no irritation, Merino, smart wool, you name it. Anything that came off an animal and it itches! I am stuck with cotton or synthetic.whatever you buy, just make sure its 100% merino wool.
too bad you cant get used to wool,we were hunting up in the mountains this weekend at - 16C,snow on the ground and north wind blowing like 80 km/h. I had a merino base layer, wool beanie and a wool ski mask. I was walking pretty much non stop and man,it was HOT so i kept my jacket unzipped pretty much non stop while walking. I doubt cotton or synthetic could keep you warm and dry at the same time like wool does. I mean you can layer cotton or fleece and it will keep you warm,no doubt but your base layer could end up soaking wet if you are walking alot. Have you tried cashmere?I bought one from Shampa I like. It is synthetic, with a flece lining.
