Im tired of the one time use HF transfer pumps.
Any out there that last more than one use?
In defense I always sprayed WD-40 in it and worked it thru after running gas thru it.
They still dont last.

Not sure if this would work for you or not but a cheap old Holly style fuel pump with some battery clamps worked great for emptying my boat's tank.

Don't ask.
I usually just use a plain hose. (Fill it with liquid, plug one end, put the other in the tank then lower the plugged end and remove the plug).

The primer bulb on a marine tank will work fine if you remove the fitting (or put the mating fitting in it. They work better if you hold the bulb vertical when starting the flow.

I bought a battery powered one for some draining my parts washer solvent and it worked pretty good. Was cheap enough to not be hurt if it turned into a one time use but it actually held up and worked better than I anticipated. I think it runs off 6 AA batteries if I recall. It beats trying to siphon things and risk getting gas in places it doesn't belong. Here is a link - At 18 bucks it's hard to balk at it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CY44TVNJ/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Me too…usually start with a good **** to get gas over the hump. Occasionally get a mouthful of gas but that‘s better to a mouthful of diesel
thanks but I prefer neither

I have heard that even a small amount going in your lungs is fatal

More fatal if you smoke I'm sure. I can tell you from experience is a teenager the worst thing to siphoning gas is if you swallow it. It was my first time doing it, lol. You will belch and fart gas if you do it wrong. I'm pretty sure some got down my lungs that day and it didn't kill me but it burned like hell at first. That said, that's why I had no guilt over buying the small cheap battery powered unit for my needs. It worked on the parts washer and it is handy for pumping out of the small gas bottles into my motorcycles or whatever. The only thing I would like better is if it had an auto turnoff. The other day I saw one that goes on the MX bottles and runs off a Milwauke or similar battery that actually had that full sensor on it so it would stop automatically when your tank was full.

I looked into this a while back and read something about there being security anti siphon mechanism inside the gas cap so someone can’t just come by and steal your gas the tube doesn’t go straight into the gas tank it gets diverted to something in the side idk really I stopped looking into it but if anyone knows and can explain I’d appreciate your thoughts

I use a self priming (jiggle) siphon to transfer gas from Jerry cans into my truck. Been using the same one for ten years. It takes a couple minutes to empty a 5 gallon can.

I use the same thing for off road diesel in my tractor. Last thing I would want is a mouth full of diesel!

Another vote for the siphon tube. I now use them to fill my diesel tractors and they are the best solution for me.

I use one of those "jiggle tubes" all the time. I have a smaller diameter one and a larger. While the larger can drain a 5 gallon gas can in a hurry, I find the smaller and slower one more useful.

I recently bought a just emptied Mobile1 55 gallon barrel. I'm going to use that to haul and store off road diesel. I have a store about 3 miles from me I can fill myself like I do 5 gallon cans. I'm going to put a 1/2" copper pipe down the 3/4" hole with a male adapter for the threads, then make a fitting for the 2", to pipe compressed air in. Got a little sprayer compressor with an adjustable pressure outlet, and just air enough pressure to move the fuel. Thought about a 12 volt pump, but I have the stuff to make this work.

I never **** on the hose. Usually I just submerge most of the hose in the full tank, put my thumb over the open end and lower it to the receiving tank.

You didn't say what type or how much fluid you're moving. I put clear tube on a primer bulb, works for gas/diesel.

My Sunoco Race fuel dealer has hand squeeze pumps they use in the big barrels.
I never see them do anything after using but pull them out and hang them up.
I am sure there are many brands but here is an example:
