I bought this diamond in the rough a few months back to restore and keep. Today was the day that I decided to do a three minute tear down to hit a roadblock on the dynamic jaw. I got the allen heads out without a problem, but couldn't seem to pry the jaw loose. The static jaw come off fairly easy with a little wiggle work to get the jaw removed from the splined pin seen in the pic. I'm 99.99% sure that this is why I can't get the dynamic jaw off.
It's currently soaking in a molasses bath along with all the other parts. I still want to separate the jaw and hope the de-rusting process will help me out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
