The cell carriers are phasing out support for cell boosters and microcells because of VOLTE (voice over LTE) and wifi calling being available everywhere.
And 14Mbps may be good for your area but I can get 50Mbps to my cell on several towers here in town and my iPhone is 4+yrs old
Are you sure? I bought a used unlocked iPhone 6s off of swappa and Wifi calling works just fine on it.
Any WISPs in your area or neighbors with WISP service whom you could share the service with by putting up a wireless bridge between the properties using UBNT radios?
BTW I have a microcell i got from AT&T 3yrs ago. I haven't used it in a couple years so i don't know if it still works but i could check it out and see if it does.
the key with all those getting high speeds is your location. notice you are in California...the midwest and country rural are not served by anything but sattelite do not get speeds anywhere close to that.
some sites on reddit people post 100mbps+ speeds on LTE, but they they are always in bit cities or states like NY, CA, etc...the other 85% of the country is not served by high speed, thus all these posts on how to speed up my internet...
you can't even get 50mbps with Hughesnet sattelite....i've tried almost every service out there and recorded my speeds and which ones can be hacked with my router.
Total wireless: 14mbps capped
Verizon: 7-24mbps average 12mbps hackable unlimited, have hit 700gig in a month many times.
AT&T tablet plan:3-12mbps average 7mbps unlimited, sometimes slows.
Net 10: 1-3mbps, not hackable, capped speed not really unlimited
new AT&T: 7mbps not hackable, capped speed not really unlimited.
Cricket: 7-14mbps true unlimited (so far the best bang for the buck) month 2 and i am still getting ~400gigs a month.
T-mobile: 24-34mbps - get free test drive modem every 6 mths I have 5 of them now so I haven't tried the hack yet. not cost effective and not unlimited
Hughesnet: 12-24mbps capped at 100gig. not cost effective.
I haven't tried mint mobile yet because they screw you making you buy 3 mths to start.
there's other resellers out there I try to buy one sim card every few months to see what I can do with it...
