Need help finding exhaust flange

Im building a header for my zx10 and I ordered some standard 2 bolt flanges but they are way too thick. I can make them work but I dont have much thread left on the studs. I heave searched google and can not find what I am looking for. The tubing it 1.75 and I am looking for some stamped 2 bolt flanges similar to these pictured.

ive thought about that but to do it the way I want it would work best with a thinner flange, its a very tight bend right off of the head.

30 seconds with a sander would thin that down nicely

if you are that much strapped for room, consider use v-band clamps ?

I cant use a vband in this application.

here is what I am working with, the flange does not seal it just holds the pipe against the head which is the sealing portion. But I just ordered some studs, seems like the easiest option at this point.

I cant use a vband in this application.


here is what I am working with, the flange does not seal it just holds the pipe against the head which is the sealing portion. But I just ordered some studs, seems like the easiest option at this point.

Why not cut the original header and use the stock flanges? That's what I did for a 636 turbo manifold.

Yes you do!

The pipe may be the sealing point, but the flange provides the clamping force evenly across the entire pipe. A thinner flange will only apply force on the two sides by the bolts and bow outward in the middle. I think longer studs is the right answer.

Turn it around 180 degrees and bolt it in from the inside of the flange

You have your flange on backwards. The two outer lips go towards the outside and not towards the block.

I don't have anything backwards, that is a pic of the factory flange on the factory header lol.
