We bought our (shop) genysis scanner used and it wont even turn on because the battery is no good. Would be nice to know. I know there was a 1-800 number on the battery.

I see them online for 70-90.00. someone on ebay selling a used scanner that needs battery claims you can buy one at batterys plus for 32.00....?

Maybe someone here knows more.

You might be able to use it if you keep the charger plugged in while doing the scan..it worked for me yesterday

Guys:

That pack is the same thing used in 9.6V RC cars. You can purchase 9.6V NiMH battery packs that size for much less than $35. Look around. If you want one that has a *lot* of power (2500mAH) then go to maxamps.com, get the phone number and call and get the correct connector for your unit. I use the 2500mAH and it is a good battery and less than $30.

Here is one with less mAH for $12.99:

We did wire it up to a converter and it works. The battery is the weak point. For daily use right now its useless!
