So i got the k32 delivered today. Put a tube of green grease in and so far so good. Only thing is the tip once locked on does not let go too well. I had to completely unscrew the end so it would release the zerk!

I like the lock n lube tip but it seems huge and i already have some tight spots. Any other brand you can suggest
On a standard zerk coupler, you can unscrew the outer housing which will put less squeeze on the inner jaws that hold onto the zerk. Ive had to adjust them in the past so that they hold on enough to not leak, but will let go when finished. These were Lincoln couplers I believe. The outer adjustable sleeve can be VERY tight to adjust from the factory, almost to the point where it feels like its going to break or strip out.

I have a Lock N lube and its really large for any recessed or protected zerks. Its awesome for ones you have access to however. For the recessed ones I have a Univerco coupler. It locks on but more like a air coupling than a Lock n lube. It fits just about everywhere a standard zerk will fit. Lock n lube have an extended coupler that is supposed to be for deep holes, but the same problem with the large OD is still there because of the LnL's sliding sleeve mechanisim. LNL is definitely easier to remove than my Univerco though so it does have its place

Too bad I didnt see this post earlier when you ordered. Macnaught makes a lock on coupler that is supposed to be "the narrowest one available". You could have ordered it with the gun and saved postage, they offer it in a kit with gun for reduced cost as well! I cant speak to the Macnaught coupler directly, but Ive sold other Macnaught products in the past and their stuff is very well made IMHO.Capture.JPG

I wouldn’t trade my m18 Milwaukee for ANYTHING.

I don’t think I know a single person who works on heavy equipment / tracked equipment without a powered grease gun.

So it seems to be breaking in a bit. And I was able to get to 9 out of the 11 fittings on my truck. The two on the Pitman arm I’m going to need some sort of 90°. I have a performance tool 90° that I’ll probably go get a zerk fitting for and see if I can make it work without spending anymore money

So i went to hobo freight and got a pack of zerks. Took the old straight coupler off my old broken gun and put a 90° zerk on it, i also took the sideways fit coupler and put a straight zerk on it. So essentially I made two of my own 90° couplers.

I have a Lincoln 1134 I bought new a few years back after reading so many positive reviews. I absolutely hate it and don't even like to see the thing now. I have to leave it in an oil drain pan because it will leak half a tube of grease out in a matter of days. Priming it using the manual's method of loosening the head and pushing on the plunger rarely works the first time so I have to use the bleeder valve. The bleeder valve requires a set of channel locks to open and close and it still leaks even when closed completely. It's one of the few tool purchases I actually regret.

The Lock N Lube gun looks suspiciously like the Lincoln, so that has me wondering who actually makes them.

The comment that the Macnaught K32 will weep a bit worries me as well....are we talking a drip or two or oozing grease?

For a while I was planning to get the Dewalt cordless because I already have a bunch of the 20V tools and batteries, but I'm not doing as much greasing now that I've sold my backhoe. I still have the tractor, track loader, flail mower and a couple of other things that require grease so I'm still considering the Dewalt. Any idea if they're bad leakers?

I can handle a drip here and there...it's a grease gun after all, but I can't stand the huge mess and waste of grease I'm dealing with now.

I bought a Lumax pistol grip grease gun and it has leaked very little. It leaks a drop about every 3 weeks. It didn't leak @ all for the first 6 months. For $26 I have been more than happy, it bleeds air out quickly too.

I bought a Macnaught a few years ago when they were first mentioned here. At first I was impressed with the overall construction but the dripping seemed excessive. I know all guns weep and it can depend on the bleed rate of the grease but this was worse than I had seen before.

I took it apart and found that grease was oozing past the plunger, down the rod because there was no actual seal between the rod and plunger. Not sure if it was designed that way or maybe I got a defective one. In any event I set it aside since I really didn’t need a third grease gun anyway.
