Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of cleaning up a Baldor 7307 I got off CL and I would like to set her up with new wheels. For the grinding wheel i'm primarily working with 1095 type annealed steel and for the wire mainly heavy rust removal. I've always been a fan of Norton but as the options are endless i would welcome any suggestions. Thanks in advance-Steve

Try these guys, high-quality products.

I tried big box brands for grinding wheels, and the Rockwell 8" wheel side grinder hopped-around like nothing you could use, even with trying to find a better balance point for the bolt-up.

I went to Mcdonald Hardware, just outside Port Everglades FL (Ft. Lauderdale) and got a Weiler 8" disc, which ran true from the first attachment. It's worn well. http://www.mcdonaldhardware.com/

At work all we use is Norton. I have personally used several thousand 8”x1” grinding wheels and never had any issues with them.
