BIL has an existing meter pole on his property that was used for his barn on his farm. All rusted and nasty and he wants to change it out to a new meter base panel combo. He also just pulled trailer home and wants to run 200amp service from that pole to the trailer. Trailer is about 30 feet from pole.
Looking at putting a Square D Homeline RC816F200C combo. This would give him a few circuits at the pole for his existing barn. We would then use a Homeline HOM2200BB 200 amp breaker to feed his trailer. Is this sound right? Breaker for this is almost 400 bucks from my quick search.
If this is a valid setup, will look.for a more affordable option for him..
