Hi. I have been lurking and reading/dreaming for a while now. I have an attached 22x24ft garage that the Boss-lady gave the "go ahead" on for finishing for my 40th B-day.
I do some self wrenching and like to do some custom building and fabricating. I am currently working on a custom cafe motorcycle with hopes of something with 4 wheels later down the line.
My garage is insulated fairly well and can be heated in the winter with just 1 or 2 little plug-in shop heaters. The floor is 16 yo poured concrete and is sealed.
I am really torn between VCT or epoxy. I like the epoxy for the longevity and durability but don't relish the grinding and prep work that goes with it. VCT would be easier to lay down but I have heard that it needs to have ambient temperatures maintained year round. Is this true?
I know this is the age old garage flooring question, but for some reason I can find as many pros as cons with both options. Cost is a realtive factor as well.
Help!
