need some very small wire brushes to go in my die grinder, those at the box store are way to big, even the small ones. I need like hobby stuff. I got to clean and polish some aluminum casting, the small stones and sand paper are closer to size but they didnt work, the aluminum is rough casting so Im trying to smooth out the radius. The regular size work great in the open area. need smaller. you think hobby lobby have any. HF didnt

I've got these brushes from HF & they are tiny.

But they're meant to be used by hand. How about Dremel/rotary bits? You'll need a 1/4" to 1/8" collet adapter though for your die grinder.

I'm confused though, you said wire brushes but then you mentioned wanting to polish aluminum & the casting is rough. Wire brushes aren't going to smooth a rough surface nor will they even polish (not a high luster polish).

I have been wanting to get some more PFERD Singletwist brushes but they are just too much for me.

I do have quite a few 3/8" size wire end brushes which are less expensive in comparison.

If you are talking 1/8" shank (Like a dremel) then you can get some small brushes like these

If anyone else knows of something like the pfered singletwist, share the secret please!

I use gun cleaning brushes to clean up internal surfaces but they don't polish or clean up rough spots. You'd be better off probably using a Dremel if you're looking at removing material.

Solo Brushes has every kind of brush imaginable. Scanning quickly, I noticed stainless steel tube brushes starting at .020" diameter, hand feed and power feed. It has been a while since I ordered, but they used to have a minimum order ($50 ?). Having the minimum order means I have a good supply. :)
