Will be in this house for the next few years so i want to get the garage in shape. I have LED fixtures for the ceiling, going to finish the drywall and paint, grind off the old janky epoxy to redo it, paint the garage doors white and re-do the insulation with white smooth foamboard.
My question is what can i do with that puffy insulation that is falling off in places and overall kinda gross looking? Also what do i do at the base of that insulation when it’s time to do the floor. It puffs out from the wall about 3-4” and goes the whole way to the floor. Is there anyway i could do some kinda rubber baseboard that would keep water from going under the insulation and also be a good break for the epoxy? This needs to be budget friendly and not come out any further from the wall than the current insulation because getting in/out of the car on the wall side is tight. The garage doors are VERY small and the driveway is tight getting in/out of the garage.
Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Moved in last year and its been driving my crazy.
