I have a couple of pieces of 8" ID steel pipe. Together they are 14' long. I need to weld them together into one pipe. The problem is all ends were poorly torch cut and are extremely uneven. I have no square end to measure off of.
How do I get square ends that I that I can weld up make one straight pipe?
I thought of rigging up rollers on my saw horses and rolling the pipe while holding my torch stationary. It just seems like there should be a simpler way.
Any suggestions?
