Feel compelled to share my recent negative buying experience with ChrisF250. PM'd him to say I wanted the two cabinets he recently listed here, came to an agreement on price for both, a mutually agreed upon date, place and time to meet to exchange cabinets for cash. Notice that he responds to other members questions stating that only one of the cabinets is still for sale re: cabinets that we agreed upon. When I question him he says he sold one of them locally for more than we agreed upon (as if that gets him out of his commitment). At first he claims ignorance about not "hearing back from me". When I remind him of the 5 emails and all my wasted time he admits that he "shouldn't have done it".
Bottom line if you agree to a deal, have enough respect for the other members time to HONOR the deal. Claims he's been burned in the past by flaky buyers, again as if that allows him to fish for better offers.
He never asked for payment before pick-up or a deposit, I guess his word isn't worth much if he's not willing to back it up!

What if I had talked to my friend and plans had been made to get to Boston/MA, think a heads up to not waste my and her time would be worth it or even considerate??
...don't know, but decent people don't undermine other agreements.
