Looking forward to the build. You're lucky you could find another crew so fast. Around my area, all they want to do is slam a few beers and tell you how big of a job it is. So anymore, I go 20 miles north of me to hire anyone.
I've had that crew before...one concrete crew and one drywall crew....The drywall crew got fired by me as well. I'll save that story till when I get to the drywall phase. But, that only makes two crews that I had to let go in the past 10 years. Drinking after the job is fine...during and throughout the workday..no way.
This thread will slow in the next two weeks as I have to travel out of town on busness. Hopefully mid december will be clear enough to frame. Have my material bid out with 3 suppliers...should wrap that up soon. Believe I'll meet with my carpenter to discuss mmy lumber dimention choices so I can pull his ideas. We've worked together on the house 6 years ago...I don't anticipate any issues.
