Tell you what, clear that snow off your driveway and it will cope just fine!

Congrats on the Focus. Is that the ST?

Not the ST just the titanium version that we've had since January 2013, the Escape is new to us the last few weeks it's also the titanium with the ecoboost motor.

Shovelling happens when I get home, that snow was dragged into the garage while driving into it to get out of the yard. With the amount of snow were getting this year I'm surprised we still have room for it.

changing things up again, now that we park in the garage nightly( winter anyways) I've noticed that i need to give the wife more room around her new car as she thinks its closer to the workbench than it really is..

so im going to remove everything below the cabinets and keep the sides of the sides of the garage cleaner and items closer to the wall.

work bench and cabinets will move to the back wall as there is still lots of room even when im back into the garage to leave lots of space up front.

waiting on a few other Husky pieces to go on sale before i pick them up and i still need to go pickup my countertop for over the lower cabinets.

but the garage has taken a back seat to a few house renos until the warm weather gets here and i can laydown some new paint on the walls and really clean the winter off the floor

last week i redid our laundry room while waiting on the new washer/dryer to show up, then added some tiles to our kitchen walls.

just waiting on the counter top so i can install it above the washer/dryer.

kitchen was next

yes our counters are normally that empty as everything has its place in a cabinet or drawer in our kitchen. Having a background working in commercial kitchens i knew i wanted easy to clean.

next up is a bit of painting and some trim along the ceilings in the house.

Nice job on the renos.

As for the garage, always having all bulky items at the "end" of the garage has been a key to my success. If it needs to go along the sides I get it up off the floor and above car door height.

that's going to be the plan, the 2 side walls will be mostly empty besides my tool box near the front corner. Its only for the winter months that i want to make sure we can get both cars out of the snow.

bought a clearance folding table at CTC, installed it next to the tool box at a higher height than my other work surface will be so that it does not become cluttered.

What kind of counter top did you get? I was at Lowes the other day and saw they have Bamboo tops.

im going with a black counter top from a local kitchen builder, my buddy owns the place so i buy most of my cabinets or counter top pieces there. Hes had a piece in his garage for years now and it still looks great. It has square edges instead of rounded over ones and he will be cutting it and delivering it to our place when hes in the area.

i just need to figure out how and where the cabinets will be placed against the back wall and measure out the length i want. Still debating either adding another base cabinet for detailing supplies or adding a taller cabinet.

If you can fit it i strongly suggest one tall cabinet! Very useful. Its also handy that they come in two different widths.

well took dubbers suggestion and picked up a taller cabinet and threw it in the back corner. Took me longer to put together than i had figured but i wanted to make sure that the door were even and that the cabinet was square unlike the display versions.

Easter weekend and another storm for us

least it was light snow for now till it warms up and turns to slush. was warm enough for just a tshirt to shovel.

so while it was storming out i decided to make it feel like spring in the garage, took all the detailing gear from the basement and filled some spots in the Husky cabinets

also wired up the TV, ran the cable and hooked up the sound bar so it would be ready

Wow..that's a pile of snow. We had the coldest Feb on record, but about 1/10 the amount of snow.

Your shop is looking great. Details like the fold up table make a big difference in a small space.

Thanks, its melting slowly around here which is a good thing as the rivers and such are still covered with ice. We've had a "colder" than normal April so far, but the storms keep coming. Just waiting for some warmer weather so that the spring flood season can get over.

The plan now is to keep everything off the side walls similar to other smaller spaces so that i have more room around the cars in the winter. Just need to clean up my basement so i can move a few more things downstairs and out of the garage.

I have made worst decisions. But yes thank you for saying it was a worth while investment, I even figured out how to adjust the shelves after the cabinet was built. My only pet peeve of all the Husky caninets is you can have them right up against each other or the wall.

Can't win them all hahaha. I'm loving that lower Husky piece. Finally with this nice weather i can start to fill it up with all of my cleaning chemicals that i keep in the basement over the winter.

That's what I've been doing, and now that I have most in one place I've realized I have way to much and I need to start giving stuff away. Can't have things freeze in the garage over the winter
