New Air Compressor; considering adding a intake silencer

Recently purchased a new air compressor for the shop, a stationary 60 gal unit from Industrial Air (http://www.industrialairusa.com/prod_detail.php?model=ILA3606056&cat=1).

I am a little less than satisfied with the design of the air intake. It is a piece of felt like material behind a mesh screen. I was considering making a steel plate to replace this system which would accept a thread in filter silencer from solberg.

Which brings me to the question: would you use 1 filter with a 3/4 outlet such as: https://www.solbergmfg.com/ViewSeriesDetail.aspx?SeriesId=2&PartNumber=FS-15-075

OR

Would you use 2 filters with a 1/2" outlet, such as https://www.solbergmfg.com/ViewSeriesDetail.aspx?SeriesId=1&PartNumber=FS-07-050

This isn't an area I have much expertise in, and while I can make the adaptor plate with no issue, my understanding of the pros and cons of either option leaves room for some enlightenment. Your thoughts?

You can also make your own intake silencer, or just add a remote air intake to put the noise outside the room. On a remote intake, you have to use a section of rubber hose to isolate the vibration from the rest of the intake and whatever it is mounted to.

I like, and those who haven't used one will disparage,
Stock Harley mufflers.
Free for the asking if you have a good attitude.
Chrome, shiny, a nice hanger welded on.
Quiet.

Yep, there isn't a H-D left in my world running any kind of muffler.

Back when I was a biker, we'd get hassled every weekend for much quieter pipes than those running unfettered every day and night up my street.
