Tool truck comes by tomorrow going to have one of the shop guys alert me when it arrives. If she has any of these I will probably have to get them.

How to get these if I don’t have a rep ?
Not sure, we have a truck come by on Friday, I work in the office but was out when it came by. I texted one of our mechanics a pic of the pliers from this thread. The rep. told him they are not available yet. I showed him a couple pics of this thread. I guess I will check in next week with the rep. The couple interactions I have had with this lady rep have not been great seems like if your not buying a $15K toolbox she don't have time for you.

I've heard they are a regional release, she should just say that if so. I'll take mine back if they are not released yet....haha, NEVER! LOVE THE FREAKING THINGS!

One sold for $95 on ebay. Last one is up to $99. Guess this thread is increasing the price ;)

******* vultures. I paid $62.50 for my pair back in February.

Like I said earlier, not a bad price if you consider most Knipex pliers are around $50 and we're all happy to spend that.

I'm sorry to hear some of you guys have **** dealers. I've been there and done that. My current guy doesn't need my business, but he treats me well.

62.50 isn’t bad at all, and in-line with the rest of their pliers.

can’t wait for them to show up on their website.

Those look useful for sure.

So how long 'till HF makes a knock off? :)

I couldn't wait for HF to make a knock off of these. They looked very useful to me. Just got one. Only tool I've ever bought from Snap-On and the most I've paid for a plier.

I found the email of a local Snap-On Rep and asked if he had any stops in my area. He said he'd ship them to me (extremely reasonable shipping too), and he did. Glad I ordered from him instead of the Snap-On Website. I've seen them on Ebay selling for way more than the MSRP.

PS, the grips ARE RED, they look orange in the picture. Lousy camera/lighting I suppose.

The problem with ordering from the SO website is that they charge $18 for shipping until you get to the free shipping threshold of $249. (I placed an order with them in March and the threshold was $199.) Remember when they shipped all orders for free? If you can find a pair on eBay for less than $80 then you’re doing alright, but $100 is just stupid.

I didn't know the exact shipping cost from the SO website, but figured it was high and it seems you confirmed that. I am not a registered user so I couldn't see the charges. The Local Snap On Rep is about 20 miles from me. He shipped them to me for $4 (less than I thought it would be). I paid the price listed on the website plus tax. I have no idea if other SO reps ship to local buyers. Seems like a good idea to ship vs trying to meet up somewhere if you don't work at a shop that they regularly stop. This is the only time I've purchased a Snap On tool. These pliers were unique/handy enough in my eyes to buy them. Everything else, no. I don't make a living with my tools and rarely if ever wear them out or break them to justify the Snap On level.

I bought mine when they first came out. My snap on guy sold them to me for just under $50. Best pair of pliers I've used in a long time.

Aren't these the ones that Rainman Ray uses on his YouTube channel? These look great. Looking forward to my SNA dividend check.

Got myself a pair as they were on promo but I’m not quite impressed with their slop, anyone else with this issue, apart from that they seem to be nice.

I'll have to look at mine tomorrow when I'm back in the shop, but I've not had any issues with my pair. Talk with your dealer and compare them to another pair if possible.

What exactly are the multitude of uses for these slip joint pliers?

I retired my Snap-On slip joint pliers years ago, just didn't find them that useful to be honest, not knocking them just curious??

These are narrow nose/needle nose slip joint pliers. The jaws can be parallel and reach into a narrow opening for a better grip.

These pliers came out last year. They're unique. I doubt this is what you had years ago.

Didn't SK sell something similar to this design ~10 years ago? Maybe they were made by WF? And if so may have also been sold by Craftsman? I know I remember a slip-joint type needlenose type plier sold by SK....

One of the Japanese plier companies also makes an ~11" long model of a slip-joint needlenose.

Even though I already have way too many pliers (meaning not enough available storage space for more), these do look useful, so I'd like to pick up a pair. If SO didn't have such a high free shipping threshold, I'd already own them.

I'd never bought anything Snap On and I looked at the website and saw the shipping cost as well. I wanted these pliers, but paying so much to ship just that one pliers did seem to put me off.

I found online and emailed a local to me Snap On Dealer about purchasing the pliers. He shipped me the pliers for $3.95 and I paid the list price plus tax to him with paypal.

maybe you can do the same.

I don't know where you are, but if he shipped it to me for a reasonable price he'd likely be able to do the same for you. Hell of lot easier than trying to meet up with a truck somewhere, that's for sure.

If you are interested, you can PM me and I'll forward his contact information/ snap on web page. I'd place it here, but I wouldn't want to jam anyone up if him shipping tools is against some policy.
