Thank you! I made the panel for the dust collection (which is just my shop vac) from some 16 ga. flat steel I had leftover from a welding project last year. I made a press brake from some old bed frame angle iron to bend it. YoutTube DIY press brake video was my instructor. :)

I did replace all of the hardware with stainless nuts, bolts, and screws. I am missing the one clip that holds down the back of the blade insert if anyone has any ideas on finding one I'd appreciate it. I will fashion a clamp of some kind and use a longer screw if I can't find one.

I did some more extensive cuts today and needed to adjust the blade/trunions about an 1/8" to get it square to the miter slots. Still need to set the 90 and 45 locks.

Appreciate the kind words and support!

So it's been a while! I had fabbed up my own pins but came to realize an issue. It seems I have the wrong adjustment wheels. Would someone be able to confirm with me that these are incorrect? And if so what wheels do you use for yours? Mine have part number LTA 420 on the back.

Those are not the original hand wheels. I was fortunate to have both hand wheels in perfect condition.

Thank you, you confirmed what I was wondering. Are you able to find a part number on yours so I could try to search and find the correct wheels?

Hey gang,

Love seeing all of these sweet vintage craftsman cabinet saws! Was wondering if I could get some advice. In the middle of a rebuild of my 103.22451. I am running into in issue with how to remove one of the bearings on my arbor. I got one off but the one that is nearest the to the threaded end is trapped between the flange (that is pressed on) and a larger diameter shaft shoulder that is larger than the ID of the bearing. I thought about just re-lubricating that bearing and running it but it has a bit of play in it and I would rather install a new bearing there. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Matt

So glad I found this thread. I have a CM 103 24450 table saw for 10 years of regular use. Recently, the height adjustment stuck. I have the saw apart with the trunion still bolted to the table top. I saw in this thread some discussion about lock rods. It feels like the lock rod is stuck locked. I'm not sure how these lock rods work. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
