Those look pretty solid and a good buy, probably have to swing by my local store and see if they have them in stock.

I went to my local store and didn't see any sitting out, after about 15 minutes I found a kid and he found five sets in the back. When he rang them up they came up $39.99, I showed him the $19.99 price on my phone so he called over a manager to override the price. A little hassle but walked out with two sets.

Use my points and ended up paying it online for $8. Awesome pry bars for the price. Thank you for the tips - or maybe thank you for making me spending more money!

Anyone actually beat on them yet? I looked at them for the first time this weekend and wasn't overly impressed. I also read that polypropylene is very difficult to bond to other materials. I wonder if the handles will hold up overtime after regular beatings with big hammers. I do respect the fact they are still made in USA though.

I saw these in store finally...does anyone know if they're the same as the old set just with striking caps now? The shafts felt and looked nearly identical.

They are fairly close. In my pic above, the older non-strike version is 1/2" longer. The handles look similar, but the old are shiny red plastic, new are a matte textured brick red color. The old handles had #s stamped in, new ones are just painted on and rub off easily. The old # is 43277, new is 43383, both 25". On the backside of each blade is a stamp, old is WH new is WX. To get to the point, they both are marked P which i believe is Wilde.

According to that thread P is Wilde.

Bumping this thread...

I had to run to the mall earlier tonight. There is a Sears store attached to it, so I decided to park in front of Sears rather than the busy main mall entrance. I just so happened to enter through the tools/home and garden/appliance section, so naturally I browse. There were some good prices on various items, but I was specifically looking for these new pry bars. I found the 3 piece set (43395) along with the 36" bar (43387). The 3 piece set was originally $39.99, but was marked down to $22.99 and the 36" bar was marked as $31.99. The 36" caught me by surprise because the Sears website does not show the 36" bar available in any store in a 50 mile radius. It was the only one on the rack. I grabbed the set and long bar and went to the register. The set rang up as $39.99 and the 36" bar as $31.99. The total was $77.74 OTD. I showed the $11.99 online price of the 36" and mentioned that the 3 pc set was marked with a red sticker as $22.99. The employee walked over to the area and came back with the red sticker. He said "We made a mistake. These are $39.99 but we forgot to take down the sticker. We will honor the price though." After applying the discounted prices and SYW points, my total OTD price for the 3 pc set and 36" bar was $31.19

Just wanted to say thanks for posting these type of sales. I got lucky with this one!

Also, don't always believe the Sears website in terms of what is not available at your local store. Never hurts to take a stroll through the store to see what is actually there.
